Bartłomiej Sutt

Bartłomiej Sutt was born in 1998 in Gdańsk. He began his musical journey at the age of seven, and percussion instruments have become his greatest passion. In 2020, he graduated with highest honors from The Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen. He spent the third year of his undergraduate studies in France, studying under one of the most prominent percussionists of our time, Prof. Emmanuel Séjourné, at the Haute École des Arts du Rhin in Strasbourg. In October 2020, he began his master’s studies at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, graduating with distinction. He continues his academic path there, having commenced his doctoral studies and research in October 2022.

Despite his young age, he has achieved significant artistic success, winning prizes at prestigious competitions and performing alongside world-renowned artists. From 2017 to 2019, Bartłomiej was a recipient of the prestigious Gabriel Daniel Fahrenheit Cultural Scholarship from the Mayor of Gdańsk for the most talented students studying abroad. In 2016, he was awarded the “Young Poland” scholarship by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, and in 2015 and 2017, he received the “Young Citizen of Gdańsk” artistic scholarship. In 2020, he was nominated for the Gdańsk City Award for Young Creators in the Field of Culture. Since May 2024, Bartłomiej has been an official artist of the French percussion company Bergerault Percussion.

  • 1st Prize – International Vibraphone Competition under the patronage of UNESCO and the Percussive Arts Society in Montesilvano, Italy (2015)
  • 1st Prize – 10th International Harp Duets Competition (2024)
  • 2nd Prize – OPUS 2021 International Music Competition (2021)
  • 2nd Prize – International Percussion Competition under the patronage of UNESCO and the Percussive Arts Society USA in Montesilvano, Italy (2014)
